Credit Dickerson Park Zoo
This week on STEM Spots features Mike Crocker with the Dickerson Park Zoo here in Springfield.
Mike had long been associated with the zoo, first as an animal keeper and then as the director for a number of years. As the director he has seen the zoo grow and expand.
The zoo has a new master plan that will be implemented over the next several years and a centennial celebration coming in 2023.
In the show, Mike discusses his favorite sights and sounds around the zoo as well as the individual behavior of specific species of animals and their unique personalities. Listen to the interview here.
